In my last post, I mentioned that a certain side gig was taking up a bit of my time.
I am now a rep for the Traveling Vineyard. I get to go to people’s houses, bring them 5 different bottles of wines to try and make a little extra cash.
For a while now, I have been trying to find a second job. Being a single mom doesn’t make this easy, as I need something with a uber-flexible schedule. A lot of the home parties just didn’t feel right to me. I even attended a wine party once, but didn’t like that the host had to pay for the wines.
That is why I chose The Traveling Vineyard. I bring the 5 wines at no cost to the host. I also give the hosts easy pairings to go with the wines we will be trying, and then we enjoy wine with friends.
I like that the Traveling Vineyard isn’t all “sales-y” on the company, because they know the wines are good and sell themselves.
I have officially had a few parties. Both were a blast. And both helped me improve the presentation. Luckily, there isn’t too much talking, and I can just let everyone relax.
I have a handful of parties scheduled for June, and I am hoping that I get at least another booking at each party. I also hope that the hosts have fun, and want to host another one down the road!
I have really enjoyed taking the online courses, and learning things about sommology to share with the guests.
Also, you would be amazed at how much the noise level can change between wine 1 and wine 4.
If you are interested in learning more about The Traveling Vineyard, or want to schedule a tasting, let me know!
