Thanks to General Mills for sponsoring todays post and for inspiring breakfast creativity in our home.219_20dd14d039584e86b82cb45e76a0154e

Remember being a kid and trying to be the first one to dig through a box of cereal for the toy?  Well, guess what?  Big G cereals have some awesome toys right now.   HJ literally jumped for joy when he saw his breakfast being guarded by Star Wars characters…

The collectable pen characters include: Darth Vader, Yoda, Chewbacca, Storm Trooper, Mace Windu, Obi Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Boba Fett (don’t worry, HJ was able to tell me who was who without the chart).

Fans can look for the collectible pens in specially marked Big G cereals starting now and until supplies last (end of December 2013).

Participating cereals include: Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reese’s Puffs, Golden Grahams, Cocoa Puffs, Trix and Lucky Charms.

We aren’t the only ones who have been having fun, check out the Edible Episodes on Tumblr.  HJ could have watched these over and over.  As for us, we have been making breakfast time a bit more fun.

2 Thoughts on “Star Wars and Cereal Wars

  1. I’m so glad they’re doing it for a little while longer because we, unfortunately, got Anakin the first time. I’m hoping to get Vader or Yoda since those are my daughter’s favorites, probably because they’re easily recognizable by a two year old.
