It is dangerous to have a bag of chips in our household. HJ and I both inhale them, so I try not to splurge too often. However, I feel a bit better about our indulgence since learning about Green Giant’s Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips in Garden Ranch & Mulitgrain Sweet Potato Chips in Barbecue. They contain 40% less fat than regular potato chips and 18 grams of whole grains. Plus they are made with REAL sweet potatoes and REAL vegetables. And lucky for us, HJ loved the Sweet Potato Chips in BBQ, while I LOVED the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips in Garden Ranch.
When we started snacking, I remembered I had some avocados in the kitchen, and decided to whip up some guacamole. I love that guacamole is one of those recipes that as long as you have avocados, everything else is probably in the kitchen.
HJ helped me get all the ingredients out and declared, “ME NO LIKE GREEN STUFF!”. He must have forgotten he would eat one a day when he was a baby starting on real foods.
This is the recipe we used, but you can add/omit items and amounts to please your family! Oh, and HJ loved the green stuff.
