This past weekend was full of fun times for Easter.  My sister and her family came to town Friday night and the whole family went bowling.  My bf beat everyone…and I lost to everyone.  Including HJ.  But he had bumpers.  Otherwise I would have beat the kids.  Maybe.

The next morning started with a pancake breakfast at a local school, followed by coloring Easter eggs.

HJ is very into blue, so he made sure to color all but 2 of his eggs blue (the other 2 were orange).

I think the kids thought it was a contest of who could color all their eggs the fastest and we were finished in about 10 minutes.

That night, we went out for pizza and to the UNI basketball game.

On our way in, a lady ran into HJ and gave him a cut on his eye.  HJ was pretty upset and I was worried it would damper his spirits.  Luckily, he got over it faster then I did.  He also insisted on going potty 5 times, which meant the peoepl at the end of the row had to move quite a bit, I am sure they loved it  (and he never actually went).  We all had fun cheering on the panthers!

The next morning, it was time to see what the bunny brought everyone.

HJ’s basket had the Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game, which he loves and actually “gets” (great choice for a 3-year-old!).  He also got the movie Despicable Me, which we have now watched 1,298 times.  His favorite part is the menu before the movie you hit “start” when a minon says “oh poop!”.  He also had a super hero cape I found on etsy.  He loves to fly around and pretend to be “Super HJ”.  HJ also scored a Imaginext dinosaur from Nana.

We tried taking pictures, but HJ was more excited to show off his cape.  I did get one cute one of HJ and myself, but it was photobombed by papa :).

What a great trip! He is such a bundle of joy. We scored Lorax and Happy Feet. Lorax is great and has been seen 4,290 time already 🙂
